The Prayerful Planner is a combined daily planner and prayer journal that was designed as a simple tool to incorporate prayer and communicating with God into daily life, and to help us invite his guidance into our lives, schedules, priorities, and goals. It was originally designed for a Kickstarter project that ran from September to October 2015, but was unsuccessfully funded. Check out the campaign here.

The purpose of the Prayerful Planner is to help point every aspect of our lives towards God and be as intentional about prayer and our relationship with Christ as we are about planning our day. I love the way Matt Perman states the importance of making our lives God-centered in his book What's Best Next: How the Gospel Transforms the Way You Get Things Done:

The center of your life is your source of guidance, security, and meaning. To be God-centered, then, is to make God the source of your guidance, security, and meaning. It is to put him first in your life, to regard him as more important than anything else, to make his glory the chief aim of your life, to do everything you do to please and honor him, and to live your life in relationship with him.

The Prayerful Planner offers everything you would find in a daily planner, but also includes space for daily prayer, thanksgiving, and scripture reading/writing to help you align your daily plans and goals with what matters most – to lead a more prayerful, God-centered life.

My hope in designing The Prayerful Planner is that it can be used as a tool for growing our relationships with Christ and making prayer and communication with God a daily priority. I hope that it can be used to help us dedicate time in our schedules for regular self-examination and reflection on God’s faithfulness, and to praise him in the ways we can see him working within lives and hearts, and maturing us in our faith.
